Hello World! it’s been a while since my last update.. over a year. wow, time flies when you’re having fun? oh well, it’s not been all fun, as we all are aware of the situation we have faced over the last year and are still facing in our daily life today.
During the last 16 months I was also fully absorbed in the major project we (Belsoft Collaboration AG) embarked on with our partners at ISW and prominic as Three Thirds Collaboration, creating a Cloud offering for HCL Collaboration Software as the first appointed CH-MSPs and migrating customers from IBM SmartCloud. Many hurdles were put on our road (…you’d be surprised..) and I’m very proud of what our global team has achieved in that little time we had in the end to finalise the set up and migration.
In this particular set up, and with even more NDAs in place, it was not always possible to share information. Generic information was already available in other blogs, so I refrained to write about it.
But, taking the release of FP3 for Domino/Notes as a trigger, I know of something I can share which should be of interest. SPR’s – Bugs – inexplicable things happening around Notes, Verse and Domino. The amount of cases I had to open with HCL in the last months, during and after the migration was, to put it mildly, disturbingly high. At least, I was not used to that for Domino. Adding all further cases we opened for Connections and Sametime.. (honestly, you don’t want to know how much time we spent on cases alone..). Let’s just say, the HCL Support and Development teams know us very well.
To come back to the point, in the KB article released today for FP3 you will read that «Notes/Domino 11.0.1 FP3 contains fixes for approximately 85 known issues», in fact you will find 112 in the fix list https://ds_infolib.hcltechsw.com/ldd/fixlist.nsf?OpenDatabase&Start=1&Count=30&Expand=2
As some of «my» SPRs are still «work in progress» I will share a few of them over the next few days / weeks. They will range from very specific issues happening to single users or accounts to generic issues, affecting everyone.
Meanwhile, stay safe, there is more to come
