{"id":1372,"date":"2019-04-05T17:00:15","date_gmt":"2019-04-05T15:00:15","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/ponte.ch\/blog\/?p=1372"},"modified":"2019-04-05T17:00:18","modified_gmt":"2019-04-05T15:00:18","slug":"fp1-for-notes-10-0-1-and-fixing-a-start-up-crash","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/ponte.ch\/blog\/fp1-for-notes-10-0-1-and-fixing-a-start-up-crash\/","title":{"rendered":"FP1 for Notes 10.0.1 and fixing a start-up crash"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>A few days ago IBM announced FP1 for IBM Notes 10.0.1 to be ready for download at <a href=\"https:\/\/www-945.ibm.com\/support\/fixcentral\/swg\/selectFixes?parent=Collaboration%20Solutions&amp;product=ibm\/Lotus\/Lotus+Notes&amp;release=10.0.1.1&amp;platform=All&amp;function=all\">Fix Central<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>As it often happens, and because I was having some issues with my 10.0.1 client on Mac, I decided to download and install FP1 right away. Which ended with this nice message when starting the Notes client:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"844\" height=\"466\" src=\"https:\/\/ponte.ch\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/04\/ibmnoteserror.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-1373\" srcset=\"https:\/\/ponte.ch\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/04\/ibmnoteserror.png 844w, https:\/\/ponte.ch\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/04\/ibmnoteserror-300x166.png 300w, https:\/\/ponte.ch\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/04\/ibmnoteserror-768x424.png 768w, https:\/\/ponte.ch\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/04\/ibmnoteserror-600x331.png 600w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 844px) 100vw, 844px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>I tried the usual troubleshooting but it seemed to be a stubborn problem. In the end, this is the sequence that worked for me:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Reboot your Mac (yes I know.. do it anyway..)<\/li><li>Use the \u00abuninstall\u00bb provided with the 10.0.1 client package and uninstall the IBM Notes client<\/li><li>Run the installer of the IBM Notes 10.0.1 client<\/li><li>Run the installer of FP1<\/li><li>Clean-up\/Reset Eclipse<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>These steps have been confirmed by a few others to have solved their client start-up problem as well.
